Pantone has declared Tangerine Tango [ref. 17-1643] the color of 2012, moving from 2011′s honeysuckle pink into an orange frame of mind, calling it a “spirited reddish orange that will continue to provide the energy boost we need to take charge and move forward”. Bold, bright, and versatile tangerine takes us on a vivid colour journey this year. This tone can be muted and worn daily or if you’re daring, as the focal piece. Orange hues can be shown in a variety of shades, anywhere from corals to the reds, all the way down to pastels and orange-sherbets.
